Weekend Friday Favourites

I always feel when you’ve visited a place or know someone from that place you have a connection with that place. St Martin, Antigua and Florida stay strong with Hurricane Irma, Mexico se mantiene fuerte tambien and Texas my thoughts are with you!

I hope you’re having had a great weekend as I couldn’t keep my eyes open writing this last night. I can’t believe there’s one more weekend before autumn fall and 3 months until a new year. A new year in just 3 and 1/2 months and on reflection this year not much has changed from the last. Anyways, Weekend Friday Favourites, things that have made me smile or caught my eye this week. As I’ve missed last week’s I’ll keep it short and sweet!

Russell Organics Maracuja Oil

Or passion flower oil which maracuja’s made from. Packed with vitamins, antioxidants and minerals such as vitamin A, C, niacin, iron and potassium to name a few, it’s a great emollient with the ability to sink deep into the skin while helping moisture from escaping out. It’s also rich in linoleic acid one of the essential fatty acids that support good skin, helping fight acne, boost collagen production and help repair skin damage. I’ve only been using it for about 3 weeks, yet I’m already noticing a difference. I originally purchased a travel sized bottle from Tarte Cosmetics, however I wanted to try one without tocopherol. iherb as usual delivered. I was curious to see how it would work my acne scars seeing as it can help with skin repair. The larger scars look a slightly softer around the edges with the more recent smaller scars I’ve noticed are looking better. Moreover my overall skin texture and tone’s improved greatly and looking better which I’m putting down to this little miracle oil. I’ve been using it at night as serum applying it after my usual serum before moisturising. Wrinkles, fine lines, wrinkles, fine lines on my forehead have been looking a little better in just 3 weeks. It’s expensive but it’s 100% worth the price tag. I know nothing will stop the lines, but I can help ward them off from looking like trenches for a while yet!

Naturattiva Rice Milk Mini Sticks/Choc Ices

These are now one of my migraine remedies. Last Wednesday afternoon a bad headache started which soon became the start of a migraine in the evening. When I get migraines all I want to do is just be in a cool room, no lights, place a t shirt folded lengthways over my eyes (the pressure/weight from it, is nice on my eyes) and sleep. Or feel like sticking my head in a freezer, preferably a big supermarket freezer. I know some people drink coffee when one starts to hit or eat chocolate. With this in mind, out of nowhere I thought of choc ices as I don’t drink coffee. Last month I found these vegan choc ices in one of the organic shops so obviously had to try them out. The soja ones I didn’t like, the rice milk ones, oh yes! Long story short I got the last box of the vanilla ones, 2 choc ices later at home followed by some orange juice, peanut butter on toast and a little nap with a t-shirt on my eyes I was feeling way better! They have same choc ice chocolate snap when you first bit into them (heaven!) and are absolutely delicious!

Long Jump Burpees

I think I’ve featured these before and this week I included in them in one of my workouts as cardio element. Perform a jump squat forward or a long jump and immediately drop down to a burpee, cross fit burpee even better. Instead of jumping up on the burpee, jump forward. They’re kinda fun and are more or less a total body move.

Kangaroo Scratch And Other Zoo Residents

Of course I made the zoo. When does a week go by when I don’t?!
