Weekend Friday Favourites

I can’t believe how quickly this year’s going. A quarter of the year’s done as April says hi. With that I hope you’re having or had a great weekend!

This week’s been a little crazy as I’ve lost my voice to squeaky whisper. I’ve no idea if that’s what it actually sounds like, but that’s what it sounds like in my head making me crack up every time I do talk. It’s thanks to allergies making me cough my throat’s so sore, hence no voice. I finally have allergy medicine that’s taken the edge off so I can breath better. It’s kinda funny hearing me squeak to a whisper! That’s until I start coughing, then I’m do I laugh or cough? Until it clears up, lots of hot drinks and toast. Toast is nice soothing the throat as much as hot liquids are easing it. But enough of woe me, here’s this week’s Weekend Friday Favourites, things that have made me smile or caught my eye the past 2 weeks.

Cork Yoga Mat

My workout mat needed replacing after a good few years use as it was sliding everywhere when doing any type of jumping. Not to mention from planks and mountain climbers bits of plastic were shedding. I’d been using my yoga mat as a substitute however for some reason I like to have a separate yoga mat and workout out. Wanting to find one that was less plastic and more easily recyclable cork mats Continue reading “Weekend Friday Favourites”

Weekend Friday Favourites

After a way too long hiatus, Weekend Friday Favourites is back! Things have been out of whack the past few months and what you focus on expands. Focus is working it’s way back to here, so I hope you’re having a great weekend and lets get into this weeks Weekend Friday Favourites, things that have made me smile or caught my eye recently.

Anthropologie Giraffe Trinket Dish

Anthropologie opened its Barcelona store last month, so obviously I had to satisfy my excitement by checking it out! I’ve been good the past few visits, no purchases, although the first few, erm…It’s the home section I like the best. One purchase excuse was this giraffe trinket dish that reminds me Continue reading “Weekend Friday Favourites”

Like Mother, Like Daughter and Weekend Catch Up

P was here this weekend and I found myself doing something I’ve been trying to hold off. I’m turning into my Mother.

My mother’s a great lady. To say she’s colourful’s an understatement. Always dressed in colour preferably from her autumn winter colours and is hardly every quiet. I’ve noticed there are something subconsciously I think are just family traits I do. I can be a ball of energy like my Mum that some people find uncomfortable. Or I can be the complete opposite and grumpy like my Dad. I’m making efforts not be grumpy. Reflecting on actions and changing them later in similar situations.

I’m mostly mute at home, only speaking to the cats. When P’s here, I’m almost non stop talking to the point I have to tell myself to shut up. That’s only part Continue reading “Like Mother, Like Daughter and Weekend Catch Up”

Weekend Friday Favourites

When Mr AJ (cat) lets you snuggle up to him taking a break editing, Weekend Friday Favourites is a little late. Like 3 weeks late. He’s a cat that likes things on his terms so if you snuggle up to him, fall asleep rather than the other way round it’s an honour. His brother, Mr D takes any extra body heat he can get so he’s not too fussed if you snuggle up, which in its own way is an honour. That both trust you enough to let you snuggle up, tickle tummies while they sleep.Duck Barcelona Zoo

A Little Photo Catch Up. Christmas Lights and Markets

I hope you’re having a great week so far! Yep, weekend catch up on a Thursday. It goes like that sometimes. Anyways last weekend was filled with Christmas markets, lights and of course workouts and running….

Friday saw a run and the last time seeing sunshine for a few days.

Later I met a friend to check out the Christmas market or Fira de Santa Llucia located in the centre. Heaving doesn’t Continue reading “A Little Photo Catch Up. Christmas Lights and Markets”
