SMART, Energy And Decluttering

I don’t know about you, but as soon as the Christmas presents have been opened I’m in, I wanna sort out mode. Major sort out mode! It often doesn’t happen for a few days. I prefer to have a morning free to sort out. I’m not very good at doing chores in the evening. That’s my excuse. More on that later.

This time of year inbetween Christmas and the New Year has most of us reflecting on the past year and thinking about the next. I don’t believe in New Year resolutions. One day is as good as the next to start on something new (or the 3rd day after a new moon according to the lunar cycle). There’s never a right time, sometimes you just have to start. (more…)

The Power of Makeup and Why I’m Wearing Less Makeup

I love wearing make up. I love it’s playfulness, it’s transformation, the high and it’s power. Mascara opens up your eyes wide, turns lashes longer and more voluminous. I love how shadow can bring out the different colours in your eyes and how a pop of colour on you lips can give you confidence and a little swagger. It wasn’t my intention to join a team. I met 2 other girls on the course and we teamed up for the remainder. None of us knew our names until afterwards! It was great working as team. Less burpees and help with the more tricky obstacles. On reflection, I’m not sure if I want to run as a team again. I’m happy to help others along the course and appreciate the help back (especially with those walls!), I just like the challenge it gives me individually.

As with every race you take away what you need to work on. My last one was the walls. I’ve been working on (more…)

Early November Catch Up

Happy November!

I thought I could celebrate a little after handing my coursework for my Pre and Post Natal Fitness course a little under 2 weeks ago. 12,500 words I thought I’d completed. Detailed plans for all trimesters with how to’s, modifications, progressions, adaptations, special considerations. Then I get an email, saying I’d missed the last 3 questions.

I didn’t see them! After layouts of training sessions, I didn’t scroll down enough. Thankfully my tutor was okay about it. It’s not the course I wanted to study. (more…)
