Weekend Friday Favourites

The heat was back this weekend making me one happy girl feeling and soaking up the  sun! Anyways, I’ll keep chit chat short and sweet and get into this weeks, Weekend Friday Favourites. Or Monday Weekend Friday Favourites as I couldn’t keep my eyes open Sunday evening. A round up of things that have made me smile or caught my eye this week.

Eye Test, Heatwave and Full Moon

Happy Friday!

I hope you’re having great week so far! Mine’s gone way too quickly. Monday in a blur became Friday. There’s been a mini heatwave, an eye test, realising it’s been 12 years since I left the UK and my obliques sore from kettlebell windmills. I hadn’t done them in a while and if you think you don’t use your obliques running, think again. It took about 3 minutes into my run to make the connection.

Weekend Friday Favourites

I hope you had a great weekend! Yes, Weekend Friday Favourites on a Monday. I started writing this Sunday afternoon to complete it later Sunday evening. My eyelids were so heavy adding photos, they won, hence it being a Monday Morning Weekend Friday Favourites.

Cheeky Parakeets

Every time I see one of Barcelona’s many cheeky parakeets a massive smile’s plastered on my face. Maybe it’s how they use the streets as arial streets, the flash of green as they fly by that does it. Maybe it’s how growing up in the English country side, tropical islands, animals and birds were only found in books, on TV or in day dreams. Our neighbour had peacocks which was as tropical as it got.

I’m not sure how colonies started appearing throughout Spain. Legend has it some escaped from shipping crates at the port or airport back in the mid 70’s. (more…)
