Weekend Friday Favourites

I hope you’re having a great last weekend of August! I don’t know about you, but growing up as soon as September started, Summer over. Back to school around the 9th September. This way of thinking kinda stuck until I moved to Spain. It took a few years to really understand how the seasons work compared to the UK. Here the Solstices and Equinoxes more or less run with the seasonal changes with a week or 2 difference. It’s like someone just switches the temperature no warning. And true Brit I start with the weather!

Anyways, Weekend Friday Favourites, things that have made me smile or caught my eye this week (warning it’s a little on the animal side). Feel free to add your own in the comments!

Beach Cricket

I found this guy or gal while locking up my bike before a beach siesta. They were still there an hour later only moving about 50cm.

Shape Magazine How To Train For A Obstacle Course

I’ve incorporated a few of these into my workouts this week. Don’t underestimate duck walks. My bum was on fire! I came across it while planning my workouts earlier this week. I get Shape Magazine on Zinio purely for their workouts and that it’s cheaper to pay for a Zinio subscription, 2 issues for the price of 13. I usually skip the articles, however I stopped to read this one and glad I did for the link. All you need is a medicine ball or better a slam ball to avoid rebound from slamming the balls on the ground. From experience 3kg ball rebound upper cut to the chin takes you by surprise!

AJ and D

These 2 have been keeping me on my toes this week thanks to miss aiming in the litter box numerous times and deciding that the litter box is too dirty to poo so poo on the floor. I change it weekly and scoop out daily sometimes twice a day and replace with fresh litter and that’s not enough. Even with D peeing the toilet or bath and then wiping his paws on toilet paper, knocking the roll right where he’s peed. Thankfully I don’t use that bathroom to wash! TMI maybe but they make me laugh every day. Cats have next to no shame.

Kaoka Dark Chocolate With Coconut

It used to be dark chocolate and mint, but that can leave the top of my mouth feeling ‘burnt’. Then dark chocolate orange was my jam and now it’s dark chocolate and coconut. I love this one as it’s got little pieces of coconut you can chew on. The only prob I get through it quickly. I always say the reason why they say switch to dark chocolate if you want to reduce eating milk chocolate or a sweet tooth is because it’s so bitter you only want a square or 2. That theory doesn’t work with this brand!

It’s Been Hot This Week

So you let it all hang out!

Peacock and Penguin, Barcelona ZooI love how these guys come alive in the water. Penguin aerial scanning.

Mistaken Age

I was asked when I starting my new university course/year this week by someone in their early 20’s. I’ll take that!
