Birthday Month Adventures

It’s been so long since I last said hi, I don’t know where to start! I’ll take it from the middle with the 8th and 12th May, with 2 birthdays celebrations. AJ’s and mine! The most important one of course was Mr Aj’s 16th. The Yogi Cat, Zen Master’s all grown up! Okay, he was all grown up about 14 years ago. Happy Birthday Angelous aka, Mr AJ!

Aj lucked out with morning sunny skies, mine I was back in a thermal top. My usual birthday wish is to spend time at the beach. Continue reading “Birthday Month Adventures”

Early Spring Sunshine

Spring’s here early and I’ve caught the cliche Spring Cleaning. Maybe it’s the change of light that’s making a few things look tired and faded or the light’s making things look different and in need of change. Whichever one, I’ve been switching and moving things around in the apartment, having a mini KonMari Method clean out and feeling change of happier energy in general. Cliche I know! Spring’s always a wake up season after a season of hibernating so maybe I’ve caught that energy and have a whole host of ideas I want to get moving.

Living in a city you don’t notice seasonal changes as much. Grey becomes a different tone of lifeless grey. Continue reading “Early Spring Sunshine”

Late Winter, Whispers of Spring

There’s a faintest whisper of Spring. A few trees and flowers are starting getting dressed in their greens and florals. I can’t want for Spring to officially start in 3 weeks. I appreciate coats, scarves, jumpers and multiple layers keeping me warm but I can’t wait to feel warm without being huddled under so many layers. If the weather app’s right, we’ve got a few more days of cold here before someone cranks the thermostat up enough to maybe remove one layer until next winter.

I wanted to stop by earlier in the week for a little more detailed catch up however I’ve been extra tired this week. I decided to continue indoor climbing lessons after my Continue reading “Late Winter, Whispers of Spring”

Early November Catch Up

Happy November!

I thought I could celebrate a little after handing my coursework for my Pre and Post Natal Fitness course a little under 2 weeks ago. 12,500 words I thought I’d completed. Detailed plans for all trimesters with how to’s, modifications, progressions, adaptations, special considerations. Then I get an email, saying I’d missed the last 3 questions.

I didn’t see them! After layouts of training sessions, I didn’t scroll down enough. Thankfully my tutor was okay about it. It’s not the course I wanted to study. Continue reading “Early November Catch Up”

Weekend Friday Favourites

I hope you’re having a great last weekend of August! I don’t know about you, but growing up as soon as September started, Summer over. Back to school around the 9th September. This way of thinking kinda stuck until I moved to Spain. It took a few years to really understand how the seasons work compared to the UK. Here the Solstices and Equinoxes more or less run with the seasonal changes with a week or 2 difference. It’s like someone just switches the temperature no warning. And true Brit I start with the weather!

Anyways, Weekend Friday Favourites, things that have made me smile or caught my eye this week (warning it’s a little on the animal side). Feel free to add your own in the comments!  Continue reading “Weekend Friday Favourites”
