A rather late Weekend Friday Favourites, so I’ll get right to it!
180 Degree Medicine Ball Slams Squat Jumps.
When it comes to my training, I like to go for compound moves. More muscles worked the better! This exercise hits the legs, bum, back, shoulders, arms, core, heart rate, metabolism, total body! It also gets out bit of grrr! I included this move in my back and hamstring day and added an 180 degree squat jump: squat jump up while raising the ball overhead to slam the other side.
Kathryn Budig Yogaglo Playful Salutations Class
I had fun in this class! I’m still working on downward dog to crow, but regardless of my ability to land my knees onto my triceps in one swift jump, I had fun. The floor and I are gonna get very acquainted trying. My achy quads disappeared during this class! I’m learning and understanding a lot about yoga since I started practicing with Yogaglo. Kathryn Budig’s anagrams on how you should be feeling a pose, on life are a little loco, a little infectious, yet make complete sense. If you have the opportunity to take one of her classes, be prepared for some serious fun, a different take on life and how yoga can help on and off the mat.
Yogaglo is an online studio for offering unlimited classes for $18/€12 a month ranging from 5 – 90 minutes. I tired a few other on line studios and Yogaglo was the only one that didn’t have a commercial yoga dvd feel. You feel like you’re in the studio each time and have a choice of what ‘style’ yoga you wish to practice. I have to remember to mix things up, take slower, hatha classes along with vinyasa flows. As Kathryn Budig says, if you’re always on the go, you need the calmer, deeper classes to balance out! €12 is a steal and they offer a free 15 day trail.
Angelous and Diesel aka Aj and D
These two have looked after their Mama this week while I get over this cough, nasty cold (which has 95% gone!). AJ’s been near by, purring, snuggling, telling me to sit. Diesel once his tummy was full, snuggled when he could. That’s unless it was a sunny day. Then the number one priority was cat naps in the sun.

It’s a scientific fact. Give a cat, any cat, the king of the jungle or a street cat a box and they’ll sit in it.
Craft, DIY, Art Blogs
These 3 blogs have got me wanting to get creative again. Song of Style. Life Ann Style, Trend-Mixblog. They have some really easy, fun DIY projects and I have cupboard full of art and craft supplies, which I hardly get to use.
It’s less than 6 weeks until the clocks go forward, but already the days are noticeably longer. The sun rises around 07.45, sets about 18.25 and dark dark around 18.40. Spring and summer are on their way!
8km along and on the beaches. Stop start, thanks to my cold, but it felt good, afterwards not during to be able to breathe a bit better. Maybe that was thanks to stopping to watch the waves for a moment or 2!

It is great to see the days getting longer again. I just love being to go for a walk after dinner as the sun is setting. The perfect way to add more bounce in my step! Hope you are having a great week!

The days are getting longer in Canada as well Natalie. It is wonderful now to drive home from work in the daylight. 🙂

House cats would laugh at the lions! The king of cats and can’t work out how to use a box! I mean, you just jump in and sit. Any domestic cat knows that!
