Winter 2018/19 Outerwear Staples

Spring’s just over a week away and I’m already in lighter layers so it’s only appropriate I share this winter’s outerwear wardrobe staples. It would have been better to have shared them back in January like most bloggers who’d have this season’s essentials down before it even started. But hey, my excuse I gotta see if they’ve worked! Some parts of the world are heading into winter so maybe this will be of help to someone. Also I can’t pose for shit and couldn’t tell a Dior from a Chanel unless it’s screaming logos. As guessed from the title, this isn’t a fashionista wardrobe must haves. It’s the girl who cycles as transport, has to be practical while trying to look somewhat put together.

Zara Non Down Puffer Coat

It took me a while to find puffer coat I liked this year. My previous coat was on it’s 3rd winter and beginning to look a little worse for wear. This winter there were so many pretty coats to choose from, however I had to be practical. I cycle as transport so I need a coat that’s windproof, has storm cuffs to block out wind travelling up sleeves, one that zips up, Continue reading “Winter 2018/19 Outerwear Staples”

Iced Lemonade

When life give you lemons you make lemonade right?

The pyshio last week gave me 2 options for my psoas. At first it was to stop running for 2 weeks, but as the inflammation is ‘controlled’ I was permitted to run on either grass or sand. However I’m not allowed to run on any hard surfaces and am to walk to the grass/sand. I’m was sure I could work around that somehow making up little biathlons biking and running.

That option for 1 week or more (please no more than 2 weeks, I have a race coming up!) has been taken out of my hands. Probably by the powers that be. The ones that look out me either decided we’ll make her not run as she won’t listen to the physio or were either watching Netflix, distracted, looking out for other beings in their care or just wanted a giggle. Long story short, I fell off my bike in a puddle.

12 Reasons Why I’m Excited For Autumn Fall And Sad To See Summer Leave For 6 Months

In a few weeks, I’m back to my autumn fall winter wardrobe uniform of black leggings until late spring, when denim shorts make a much anticipated comeback. So I thought it would be fun, to share my reasons why I’m excited for the new season ahead and looking forward to when summer says didcha miss me next year!

I’ll miss my tan. I didn’t tan as much this year as previous years, but I’ll miss having some colour. I don’t like being pale!

I won’t miss Continue reading “12 Reasons Why I’m Excited For Autumn Fall And Sad To See Summer Leave For 6 Months”

Humidity And The Beach

The humidity’s something else at the moment. If you’re in the wind which hasn’t seemed to had a day off this year you’re okay. In pockets were there’s no air like my gym changing room, in the centre down narrow alley ways the air’s sticky and somewhat still.

My gym has air conditioning but never freezing. Just a little cooler or warmer than the ambient air temp depending on the season. And at the moment it’s bust. Continue reading “Humidity And The Beach”

Postural Tips. YouTube Made Me Do It.

YouTube has thing of mind reading or rather tracking your viewing with recommend videos in your list. Popping up last Saturday evening were postural correction neck videos. I know my head’s slightly more forward than it should be; forward head posture and my shoulders rounded. I’m always trying to remember posture sitting, on my phone (internet), running, cycling, in the gym and basically everywhere. Emphasis on trying. When I’m tried, stressed, running or in a rush, I tend to forget.images (6)

My last osteopath visit the amount of times my spine was clicked was nearly in double digits. Continue reading “Postural Tips. YouTube Made Me Do It.”
