natjtan There’s nothing like seeing the sun rise and feeling the energy of a new day ahead. Sunsets are for everyone, sunrises you feel like it’s just you in the whole wide world watching a ball of hot pink rise on the horizon welcoming a new day. The early bird catches the worm is true. I have a real dislike for oversleeping and feeling like the day’s gone already when I do. I can get so much more done getting up early and am a much happier person for it!

Baie de Anges, Antibes, France 2012-2014. Taken from my then apartment. Sunrises there were spectacular. A motor boat crossing the bay or some one walking was loud compared to another time of the day!
Barcelona, Spain, 2014-2015. Running along the beaches at first light or an hour afterwards truly is magical.

Triola, Italy, 2012 the last place in Italy to hold witch trials. This was taken in early summer. Tucked high in the mountains, it felt like nobody else was up. The birds were singing, a goat was saying hello, a car starting sounded like a Harley and there was that buzz of a hot day head.

You are so right – everyone can enjoy the sunset but only few get glimpses of the sun rising into the sky. Your sunrise pictures are just lovely. Love the first one!!

That’s true, there’s always a bit of gold at first light in every shade of yellow. Though I’ll contest that the sun always rises a big ball of hot pink first before gold 5 minutes later!
