April 2022. The Sunny Month Part 2

To be honest I can’t remember much about the second half of April. My excuse, my photo stream stopped loading to my mac from my phone. It did save photos from Instagram stories and nothing else. Looking back on my phone I didn’t compared to normal take as many photos. I did however on my Fujifilm XT20.

Trees started to get dressed

The second half of April wasn’t as sunny, however the flowers made up for it. I saw my first ducklings of the season and Firea de Abril was held for the first time in 2 years so I knew most covid19 restrictions were lifted. Wearing masks inside stopped after Easter Monday. Aside from wearing them in health centres, pharmacies and on public transport, life has returned to how it was pre covid. I think most people have forgotten it ever happened. Scars are still there, I get random flashbacks every now and then of should I be wearing a mask leaving the house, in the lift?, Is the park open past 20.00? It’s amazing how humans adapt.

Flamingos at Barcelona Zoo started nesting.

Weekend Friday Favourites. 22.5.22

Summer’s arrived early this year and I don’t mind one bit! Winter now’s a long distance memory. I’m hoping summer won’t disappear quickly into autumn fall as it’s here early. Washing and putting away winter blankets and the last of the in-between clothes they seem so heavy and suffocating to wear looking at them. Just how putting away summer clothes as it gets cooler and colder they feel so thin and cold to look at.

Anyway, Weekend Friday Favourites. Things that have made me smile or caught my eye this week.

Weekend Friday Favourites

Happy Friday! Spring’s finally here!

Winter returned earlier this week which was weird as the light didn’t match the temperature. Yesterday it was around 21C when Monday it was around 10C. I hoping I can finally put away my winter coat for a few seasons. It’s nice to be in lighter weight colours and layers.

Little Dinosaur

Last week was a slow week for favourites hence no Weekend Friday Favourites. This week I have enough to share things that have made me smile or caught my eye recently!

More Goslings!

This week I saw 2 more geese families! A family of 3 goslings and a family of 2 goslings! That makes a total of 7 baby geese in the park as I’ve seen another family recently with 1 chick. Sadly the family of 5 chicks lost 4. I swear nearly everyone that sees them cries out in awe!

Jasmine

Almost over night some of the many Jasmine bushes in the parks and along the beaches flowered! Jasmine is one of my favourite flower scents along with lilac. I smelt them before I saw them as the flowers seem smaller this this year. The scent is heavenly!

Karina More Facial Cupping Challenge

I recently reviewed Karina More’s Face Building Marathon that I’ve been doing for over a year and shared her newly released book to accompany the course. In May she’s releasing her 2nd course on facial cupping. For now the course is whatever price you wish to pay. From May onwards it’ll be a fixed price to be confirmed. Facial cupping can help amongst many things, reduce edema and body fat, detox, improve blood circulation, revive capillaries and recover collagen fibres. To be honest she had me at boosting collagen so I’m all signed up and have my cups ready.

Project Light: End of January 2022, Exploring the Gothic Quarter, Visiting Temple D’August, Winter Light and Cute Birds

The light was good at the end of January, lots of sunny afternoons which made up for the cold!

Naked trees make it easier to see the birds. It’s amazing how many birds live in urban areas. If you keep an eye out for them, once you start noticing them you can unnoticed them.

Jackdaws

I tried in January to find free places to go after the zoo or in the afternoon before I forgot and before the tourist season started. So many times you never visit places in your own city. One of place I’d been meaning to go to for ages were the roman pillars. The remains of the Temple d’August in the gothic quarter. Free entry all year round. Visiting also gave me the excuse or reason to re explore Barri Gòtic or the Gothic Guarter part of the original walled Roman city of Barcelo.
