Winter’s here in the North Hemisphere! The sun’s low in the sky, the cold’s arrived. It’s only been a month since the winter solstice and already the days are noticeably longer. Longer than when they were a month leading up to the solstice. Which means spring’s in 2 months!
I love the longer brighter days as the sun starts to climb higher in the sky, however nothing beats the colours and crisp light of late autumn, early winter’s golden hour, sunsets and twilight. The sun’s so low in the sky molecules and small particles in the atmosphere change Continue reading “Autumn Winter Project Light”
Happy New Year!
Sunset 1st Jan 2019
I hope you had an amazing time celebrating the New Year whether you were sleeping, partying or like me celebrating New Year’s Day soaking up the sun at the beach!
Like Christmas, ringing in the New Year was low key. Thanks to TVE1 en directo on my phone, the cats and I rang in the New Year watching the ball drop in Puerta de Sol Madrid snugged up warm. I just just managed to eat all 12 grapes in before the 12 campanadas finished. Just. Does having 1 or 2 left mid chew as you try to avoid choking on grape juice count?

Forgive my absence for a while. If you stop doing things daily even for few days those skipped days can turn into weeks, months, years. Things that shouldn’t have but did fell by the wayside recently.

However I’m not allowed to run on any hard surfaces and am to walk to the grass/sand. I’m was sure I could work around that somehow making up little biathlons biking and running.
That option for 1 week or more (please no more than 2 weeks, I have a race coming up!) has been taken out of my hands. Probably by the powers that be. The ones that look out me either decided we’ll make her not run as she won’t listen to the physio or were either watching Netflix, distracted, looking out for other beings in their care or just wanted a giggle. Long story short, I fell off my bike in a puddle.
