The first day of our holidays, second if including travel we stayed local exploring Calpe. The morning started like most the rest of the week, lazy. The place was so quiet and sunny, I wanted to soak it up as much as possible. So after breaky, a Studio Tone It Up workout which also featured daily, earlyish afternoon we headed to into Calpe.
The first stop was one of the beaches, where else? We enjoyed sunny skies for 20mins before storm clouds rolled in. Thankfully it didn’t rain and the water was so warm rain clouds didn’t matter. Neither did the slight air temp drop Continue reading “Summer Holiday Vacay 2018. Calpe”
I can’t believe it’s been nearly 4 weeks since P, the cats and I took a week’s trip to the Costa Blanca. While P travels for work and has time off for exploring places*, I haven’t had a holiday in a few years as the cats are on so much medicine I can only go if they go. It’s easier than getting someone to look after them.
We booked last minute. When I say last minute, 2 weeks before so not really last minute but in terms of trying to find someplace nice to stay, last minute. Everywhere seemed booked up already. Initially I wanted to stay in Valencia, Valencia’s regional capital however we couldn’t find anywhere nice or safe for the cats. I’m happier leaving the cats in an hotel or an tourist apartment complex than say Air bnb Continue reading “Summer Holiday Vacay 2018. Travel Day”
A few Saturdays ago I had some errands to run in El Borne, so I thought I’d take you along!
El Borne’s always changing. Every time I cycle or walk through El Borne, facades remain the same, interiors constantly changing. Always new cafes, ice cream palours, boutiques, bars popping up. I used to live in the area and while I don’t miss living in their, I still love cycling through or wandering down alleyways, peeking up at balconies, soaking in it’s charm. Sadly or maybe not Continue reading “El Borne Tales”
Part 4 is the last in the 12 Hours in Madrid Series and perhaps the one I should have stuck with. A selection of photos I was saving especially for this post: street life, architecture and my favourite photos of the day.
Parts 1, 2 and 3 Continue reading “12 Hours in Madrid Part 4”
I didn’t enjoy the afternoon as much as I did the morning. I could feel a migraine beginning to hit thanks to heavy traffic fumes and what seemed like every 3rd doorway someone was standing outside smoking. I kept my water intake up as much as possible, but it still hit. Walking up and down endless Metro stairs a few hours later felt like my brain was rattling around with a little wave of nausea each time. I’m sure my resting bitch face was in full overdrive. My camera battery had died after Templo de Debod so I wasn’t able to get shots I wanted with my iPhone. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very grateful of my iPhone’s camera, I just knew they weren’t going to be how I wanted.
Hungry after Templo de Debod, an Egyptian tomb found in the heart of Madrid, our next mission was finding somewhere to eat. Continue reading “12 Hours In Madrid Part 3”
