Friday saw a run and the last time seeing sunshine for a few days.

I completed my 3rd obstacle race this year back in November! The Maori Race. A 7km, 30 obstacle race in a more urban setting. I ran my first Maori Race back in June. It wasn’t my intention to join a team. I met 2 other girls on the course and we teamed up for the remainder. None of us knew our names until afterwards! It was great working as team. Less burpees and help with the more tricky obstacles. On reflection, I’m not sure if I want to run as a team again. I’m happy to help others along the course and appreciate the help back (especially with those walls!), I just like the challenge it gives me individually.

The oh so cooling orange juice I crave on a hot day ain’t cutting it now it’s getting chiller. I find myself gravitating to warmer drinks which is only natural as the temps start to dip. Nothing says it’s cold outside like cup of hot chocolate. Yes, hot chocolate season’s* in full swing and I have P’s delicious yummy plant based hot chocolate recipe to share with you!
*Southern Hemisphere lucky b*ggers are beginning summer. Bet a cold orange juice sounds temping right about now.
When I made the switch from vegetarian to vegan, I gave up my Aero instant hot chocolate and I’ve missed hot chocolate. (more…)
I can’t believe this weekend the clocks go back. 2 months until the New Year. How did it get to be October so quick? Halloween hasn’t even done its thing and Christmas is springing up in the shops (can we skip winter and go straight to Spring).
