Tomorrow’s officially the first day of Winter! Or Summer if you’re a lucky duck to be in the Southern Hemisphere. The days start to get longer even if it’s by a few seconds each day. 3 months and counting until Spring!
This past weekend was a little action packed, Buff Epic Run, lots of bike rides, last minute Christmas present wrapping and numerous Post Office trips as you always forget a few people and parcels to collect. I’ll leave ya with a little photo catch up!
Vets in the morning and last minute wrapping pushed my run late Continue reading “Buff Epic Run 2017 and Catch Up”
I completed my 3rd obstacle race this year back in November! The Maori Race. A 7km, 30 obstacle race in a more urban setting. I ran my first Maori Race back in June. It wasn’t my intention to join a team. I met 2 other girls on the course and we teamed up for the remainder. None of us knew our names until afterwards! It was great working as team. Less burpees and help with the more tricky obstacles. On reflection, I’m not sure if I want to run as a team again. I’m happy to help others along the course and appreciate the help back (especially with those walls!), I just like the challenge it gives me individually.
As with every race you take away what you need to work on. My last one was the walls. I’ve been working on Continue reading “Maori Race Can Zam Santa Coloma”
Last Sunday we ran the Maori Obstacle Race, a 7km obstacle race 35 minutes just out the city in Aria Natura. It wasn’t my best run. I was tired, my performance showed. That said I’d love to go back, trail bike along their trails and take up their zip lines, bouldering and slack lines and adventure park!Image source: Maori Obstacle Race Facebook
We got there just in time to collect bibs, chips that looked like ankle monitors and drop our bags off. Bibs were unique, temporary tattoos Continue reading “Maori Race and La Roca Village”
This past weekend I completed my 3rd Spartan Race! The Super a 13-15km obstacle race, which once again left me contemplating if to run the Beast, Spartan’s 1/2 marathon again.
I wasn’t sure if going to run. Spartan Race Espana weren’t putting on buses from Barcelona city centre as they have done in previous years and with no car or knowing Continue reading “Spartan Super Recap And Catch Up”
There wasn’t as much mud as last year, but there was still plenty of mud to be had. Spectators must think us Spartans are mad. We willing wade, crawl, slip, fall, roll in mud.
This past weekend I completed my 2nd Spartan Race. The Beast! Continue reading “Spartan Beast Recap “
