Weekend Friday Favourites

I hope you’re having a great weekend! If I’m honest at the moment I don’t always know what day it is. Run days I only know as I alternate cycling a few days for my morning freedom with running. I’m sure many of you are the same at the moment while we’re in lockdowns or easing of lockdowns. Spain’s slowly easing the lockdown and I’m patiently waiting for when travel’s more free for the hairdressers. I’m really liking the longer length, the ends however.

Anyways, welcome to a short and sweet Weekend Friday Favourites. Things that have made me smile or caught my eye this week.

Ducks, Geese, Turtles

I’ve changed my morning bike rides to the park! It makes me so happy to see ducks, geese, turtles, sparrows, magpies, butterflies and green all around. Hearing birds sing always makes me happy.

Weekend Friday Favourites

I hope your weekend’s going okay! I’m patiently counting down the days until life returns to a new normal of being allowed outside. Spain’s extended the current lockdown until 26th April. I’m hoping the weather’s not sunny skies everyday. I understand the lockdown whys but lots of sad puppy dog faces looking out the window on sunny days. Okay, rainy, cold, windy days too.

Anyway, this weeks Weekend Friday Favourites, things that have made me smile or caught my eye this week after a little break.

PopSugar Fitness

As much as I love Tone It Up, Studio Tone Up App, when it comes to cardio, I need more for my substitute run days. YouTube read my mind suggesting PopSugar Fitness! I’ve been having so much fun doing their free kickboxing and dance classes. I’m like a stick insect body rolling, I’m picking up the steps and I genuinely look forward to my classes. Classes are anything from 10-50 minutes. They also have a wide selection of HIIT, Zumba, toning and strengthening. One of my favourites, 30-Minute Latin Dance Workout with Nicole Steen when I discovered it 2 weeks about had about 5.2 million views. It’s currently at 8.1 million views! So much energy and positivity! The kickboxing class, 40-Minute Boxing and Kickboxing Workout with Christa DiPaolo fly by. I’m enjoying Deja Riley’s classes as well as others by Nicole Steen’s and Christa DiPaolo. The cherry on the top, they’re all free!!! To save my neighbours ears I put 2 yoga mats down which also help me get a better rhythm. My trainers squeak and catch on the floor tripping me up and putting me off count. Blame the tools! My ‘stomping’ puts me off and I think the neighbours will ring the doorbell asking me to stop.

Moisturising Cotton Gloves

If you have small hands, these are fine. Larger hands or longer fingers they might not fit

Leave it to my washing machine to have a breakdown in a lockdown. I’m waiting for the landlord to replace it. He’s been ill, so I understand the wait. The weather’s been windy, cold and rainy and I’m hand washing practically everything. I get bad hands in the winter anyway. Throw in hand washing they’re chapped and cut to F. I’ll put my hands up and say I forget most nights to do this. Continue reading “Weekend Friday Favourites”

Angles

The past few weeks, if I’ve missed the zoo where I mostly practice my photography I’ve been making myself take photos regardless. Sometimes it’s using a different lens when another would be better cycling through the park. I have to think more, change position, look for different angles. Sometimes it’s because I’ve really miss taking photos if I haven’t for a few days because life can get same old.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The basic course I did in January helped a great deal though it only touched the photography world. I find myself looking at images thinking Continue reading “Angles”

Weekend Friday Favourites

I’m currently on a 48 hour exercise ban thanks to an osteopath. It’s lifted this evening which can’t come quick enough with restrictions over the next few days. I understand why it’s in place but it gives me cabin fever. It was 2 weeks, I managed to get it down to a week with limitations and depending on how I feel and how yoga goes, those ‘limitations’ may expand. I’ve been able cycle which I only got away with as it’s my transport. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Anyways I hope you’re having a great weekend. Continue reading “Weekend Friday Favourites”

Weekend Friday Favourites

There’s something about Fridays. No other days holds the air of excitement like a Friday. The week’s finished and if you’re lucky you have 2 days free!

This weekend will be a little sad. I’m saying see you later to one of my few friends I have in Barcelona as she’s moving  back to Germany. We don’t see each other as much as we used to, but it’s one of those friendships where you don’t see each other for ages and pick up where you left off. I’m happy sad for her. Happy as she’s returning back to Germany which she’s wanted for a long time. Sad as I’ll miss her!

Anyways, , Friday Favourites nearly on a Friday for once! Things that have been making smile this week or have caught my eye.

Fabletics ES/Spain Summer Selfie Winner!Fabletics Es Summer Selfie Winner

Monday afternoon I received a big surprise. I’d been selected as one of 3 Fabletics ES Instgram winners as part of their Summer Selfie campaign! The rules where show off your Fabletics attire training and you win a free outfit! They didn’t mind I use Fabletics UK with my mum forwarding parcels on due to only bring able to order in Spain with a Spanish card (I have one, but it’s strictly for utilities). They even credited enough to cover shipping when I choose my outfit! It was a great way to start the week! Thank you Fabletics ES!Running Stairs

TRX squat to shoulder flys and cross body mountain climbers

TRX squat to flys really felt like they opened my back and shoulders this week. From a squat position holding the TRX handles facing in with arms slightly bend, jump out wide to a sumo squat taking the arms wide (keeping shoulders shoulders down, chest open and abs in!) and then jump back in. I think I grew a few centimetres afterwards! (I know I’ve seen them somewhere for a link but I can’t find it!)

Similar to regular mountains climbers, cross body mountains climbers you take or sweep opposite knee to elbow. These burn! I always feel them in my abductors, shoulders, obliques and core!Cross body mountain climbers

Geese Park CiutadellaGeese, Parc CiutadellaGeese, Parc CiutadellaGeese, Parc Ciutadella

Usually after training clients in the park, I take a little bike tour of the park. I always seem to end up by the boating pond. Something scared these guys and they were off!

The Lion and Hyena Whisper

Not even my boys great me like this!

Zara Home Palm Tree CoastersZara Home Palm Tree CoastersZara Home Palm Tree Coasters

Like I need an excuse to go into Zara Home, these caught my eye while I was looking for some thing for my friends baby due soon. It’s always a fail keeping hands in pockets so I don’t touch and end up buying something. So maybe I do need an excuse! Unfortunately I think I picked up a dud pair. There are meant to be 4 different designs after realising 2 were the same after I ‘used’ one and checked their website. B*gger. Still I like them, however after checking their website they have some more tropical ones with birds on that have caught my eye. Well, you need a few coasters in every room right?

Men In Black Safety Defenders Air New Zealand Air Safety Video

Cheesy but fun! The All Blacks team up with Air New Zealand to demonstrate the usual air safety demo you can usually just see. But wait, did I?

AJ and DD and his KickerooAJ keeping cool on the balcony

D couldn’t wait for his new Kong Kickeroo’s packaging to be removed and Mr Aj’s been cooling off on the balcony.

What’s been making you smile this week? Have a great weekend!
