My thoughts are with those caught up and those lost on Thursdays horrific events in Barcelona on Las Ramblas. My beautiful adopted city turned upside down in a matter of moments. Nat’s Week, The True Cost, Studying, Elephants and Orangutans

Happy August!

I’m going to overlook and forget that in just under 2 months Summer slowly makes way Autumn Fall. Already in a few shops are winter jumpers and light padded duvet jackets. It’s July, it’s 30C outside and the shops are making me think of winter. So I’m avoiding them. That and after watching The True Cost a documentary about the fast fashion’s social, environmental and human cost, this girl is consciously moving away from fast fashion. Just as the reason why I became a vegetarian then vegan, after watching The True Cost, I don’t want some one or something to suffer for my enjoyment. I was in the mood for a fashion documentary last Thursday and came across The True Cost on Netflix. If you love clothes, fashion and even if you don’t, I highly recommend watching it. (more…)

Zoo Photos Part I

While I’ve spent the most part of the past three days running around in shorts, come evening time I skipped comfy shorts for lightweight cotton pjs. Puente Weekend

I have a new method or thing when I suddenly find myself falling or fallen down an Alice in Wonderland rabbit warren of social media internet. When I realise that what I’m looking at or watching is pure crap, I tell myself ‘well that’s 5 minutes of your life you’re never going to get back’. The more times I say it, the more times I hesitate or attempt to stop myself going down that rabbit warren. It’s working. It doesn’t help social media can be addicting, but the more times I say it, the more productive I am from not falling down that rabbit hole.
