I start my photography course next week and true to form like a kid who’s left their homework to the last minute, I’ve still to learn photographic terms in English and Spanish so at least I have an idea what the teacher’s on about. It’s not like I’ve had about 5 weeks to learn them and brush up on my Spanish. Thankfully it’s a basic course but I still feel I need to learn the photographic terms in both languages so I have an understanding as I’ll be at a disadvantage it’s not in my mother tongue. Last minute as always!

When I wasn’t outside playing as a kid, my nose buried in a book. Which my Mum loved and was puzzled by. I read so much my spelling should have been amazing. It’s not and it wasn’t until my mid teens my parents realised I’m mildly dyslexic. No one ever told me and it was until P said something I thought maybe. Recently I mentioned it to my Mum and she said when they realised, it was too late. That’s why I hardly use ‘big’ words and my Spanish pronunciation isn’t what it should. I joke and it’s true I can’t pronounce words in my own language which usually lets me off a little. It doesn’t affect my day to day life much, I’ve learnt to work around it and play I’m learning Spanish.
For the past few years I confess I haven’t read many books since Apple released the iPhone. Internet at my Continue reading “Books 2016 Part 1”
Yep, I’m elved out. Apologies for my lack of posts lately. Blogging time’s been taken up with presents. I decided this year to make all my female family members and girlfriends presents this year. I had to wait until the last minute to make them so they’d be fresh. Then there was a day of wrapping presents, finishing cards, an hour at the post office sandwiched in-between the gym.
I’m not sure what made me want to make presents this year. I got an idea in my head and it grew from there. Continue reading “Elved Out”
The oh so cooling orange juice I crave on a hot day ain’t cutting it now it’s getting chiller. I find myself gravitating to warmer drinks which is only natural as the temps start to dip. Nothing says it’s cold outside like cup of hot chocolate. Yes, hot chocolate season’s* in full swing and I have P’s delicious yummy plant based hot chocolate recipe to share with you!
*Southern Hemisphere lucky b*ggers are beginning summer. Bet a cold orange juice sounds temping right about now.
When I made the switch from vegetarian to vegan, I gave up my Aero instant hot chocolate and I’ve missed hot chocolate. Continue reading “Paul’s Plant Based Hot Chocolate”
I’ve found my running costume for the Buff Epic Run, a 8km no timed obstacle race later this month! I ran it for the first time last year and played my costume low key. A polite way of saying sh*t/no effort costume. I’ve no idea what the final result will look like. My back up outfit’s non existent. It’s the wrong time of year to be looking for neon 70’s and 80’s workout outfits as my crafting skills could go either way….
I hope you’re having great week. Saturday I met up with my friend, Dahae for coffee/tea though we ended up checking out the Fira de Santa Llucia Christmas market and Continue reading “Christmas Markets And That Productive Buzz”
