Happy New Year!
Welcome to the first Weekend Friday Favourites of 2020! I hope you’re having a great weekend! I’m only just feeling I’m getting back into some sort of out of whack routine. Monday 6th was an holiday so people are still in the holidays mode. Wednesday was the first climbing class of the year and I really thought it was Monday! My routine’s always always all over the place but I’m hoping some sort of balance comes to the chaos.
In the meantime this week’s, Weekend Friday Favourites! Things that have made me smile or caught my eye. Always my favourite post to write!
Switching Off My Phone
Or hiding it as the screen’s cracked (not my fault. Somebody knocked it out my hand sending it flying down the pavement). If I turn it back on, each time it goes a little loco. It’s so liberating. I grew up before mobiles. I got my first one around 17/18. All it did was receive messages and make calls. No games. The screen was like a calculator bar! Yes, I’m old. Last month we revisited Jardi Botanic Marimurtra nestled along the Costa Brava’s rocky coastline. Garden’s aren’t really my thing, yet this one I was drawn after an internet finding things to do outside the city. Okay, it was the gondola overlooking the sea that did it!
The gondola isn’t the garden’s only star. Each twist and turn hold new gems: tropical plants, ponds, sea views, terracotta walls and sweet fragrance scents. Continue reading “Early Spring Jardi Botanic Marimurtra Part 2”
Summer’s being bittersweet this week. The days are hot, the wind’s been enough to make me nearly cry cycling in, mostly when I really don’t need it to be so windy, yet provides a little respite from the heat when not sprint cycling and beach temps are prefect for sneak way beach siestas. The bitter sweetness, sunrises are later and sunsets earlier and September starts in a week signals Autumn Fall’s arrival. However there’s still 5 weeks of my favourite season, plenty of time to be outside as much possible soaking up that warm sunshine!
I hope you’re having a great week! I’ve been getting to the gym early at the cost of Continue reading “Late August Catch Up”
