Beauty Finds: Two Faced Better Than Sex Easy Glide Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Review

Welcome to Beauty Finds. This edition features Two Faced Better Than Sex Easy Glide Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner.

The eyeliner to go with the Better Than Sex mascara. The mascara I’ve tired and didn’t like it. I’ve given up on finding clean ingredient liquid eyeliners. The only one I know is by Honest Beauty. Sadly it’s too black and a cold black for me and I don’t like the ink pot style applicator. I prefer a pen style as it’s easier to control.

When I first looked at this eyeliner in Sephora España I wasn’t impressed. The nib had frayed and it had dried out. In another Sephora after trying some cheaper ones and nearly given up, the sales assistant mentioned this was her preferred eyeliner. Okay, she could have been Two Faces rep but I was okay, I’ll get it. I was going to repurchase KVD Tattoo Liner liquid eyeliner I used a few years ago. So is this liquid eyeliner waterproof? Flake proof, non smudging? Is it perfection in one stroke? Read on for my beauty find requirements or skip a paragraph for the review.

I have a few requirements when it comes to beauty products: cruelty free, natural, clean, vegan better. I do my best to avoid nasty ingredients such as SLSs, parabens, PEGs, silicones, etc. Petrochemicals are the sneakiest with so many derivatives and aliases. I also avoid palm oil and it’s derivatives as I prefer orangutans. Coconut oil marketed as the good oil, I’m also cutting down on as it can be just a damaging crop as palm oil. If I do get products containing palm or coconut oil I try to get organic or sustainably sourced. With make up it’s a little harder so I go for cruelty free brands. I prefer products with less plastic and thankfully more brands are aware consumers don’t want unnecessary plastic (or governments are telling them less plastic). My skin type’s oily sensitive, acne prone and now wrinkles. I know nothing stops those lines, but if I can delay them then….

Two Faced Better Than Sex Eyeliner

An eyeliner so amazing, it’s… better than sex! This cutting-edge liquid eyeliner is the easiest you’ll ever use, created to produce a sharp, fluid, smudge-proof line every time! In one stroke, achieve an intense black line that lasts for 24 sexy hours. The combination of our Easy Glide waterproof formula and our innovative dual-fiber brush creates an eyeliner so amazing, it’s… Better Than Sex.

Shake before use.

First up the ingredients. Not the cleanest but surprisingly the shortest list ingredients in the eyeliners I’ve used and looked out. I haven’t reacted to it, it doesn’t smell, so it’s good for sensitive skin.

The nib. It does what is says. It’s foolproof as while I’ve worn eyeliner for years I’m still crap at applying it. One stroke along the top of the lashes you can get the line thick or thin easily. The wing even on hooded or in my case temples no longer filled with fat those annoying extra eyelid folds that even facial exercises can’t shift (I have to eat more and/or accept aging) you can get a good line with one stroke. It’s easy to fill in the skin folds too. TMI, but that what’s happens as you age. Be kind to your eyelids. You don’t need to hold the skin taught to get the flick. Took me 20 years to find that out thanks to YouTube shorts. It stretches the skin: aging. This glides so easy compared to other liquid eyeliners.

Is it waterproof? Yes! I snorkel daily in the summer or as much as I can. Removing the snorkel and if I swim without a snorkel stays in place as long as I don’t rub my eyes.

Is it 24 hour non fading? Not 24 hour, but it does last a long time even on oily skin.

Is if flake proof? Yes! Sometimes if I’m laughing and talking too much I can get smudging under my lower lashes. However I believe this is from the mascara I use by Honest Beauty

Intense pigment load? Yes. It’s a warm black without being brown.

It’s expensive however worth it. €27.99 0.6ml that lasts around 4 months.

It’s cruelty free and featured on Sephoras Good For Vegan list.

Any cons as it sounds too good? Yes, the nib can fray. I read another review where the reviewer mentioned it does this. Any hairs in the nib that have frayed are easily pulled out with tweezers. The reviewer I think on sephora.com mentioned that the way to prevent this, is by taking care to putting the lid on. This has happened a few times as it’s when I’ve been in rush to replace the lid.

It doesn’t adhere to cream eyeshadows.

It’s plastic even though the outer part of eyeliner is metal. The lid is easy to remove if you have any other product on your fingers.

Would I recommend? Yes! It works better on oily skin with a eyeshadow primer underneath. I’ve yet to try it without a primer or powder eyeshadow, however it’s the best eyeliner I’ve used or found yet! I’m already on my 2nd tube!
