While summers are all about the sun and sunny winter days warm your soul, the moon is winter’s star. The longer winter nights light up the shining moon bathed by the sun more. It’s still there in the summer evenings if you look up, it’s just those evenings it doesn’t have that magical star power like it has in late autumn, early winter.
If I’m honest December’s Cold moonwas something. I think this has something to do with being the shortest daylight month. I’ll be sharing those photos next month! Just before sunset and during dusk as the sun’s so low in the sky, moonrise is lit up in a magical way. November’s Mourning moon was slowly Continue reading “November’s Mourning Moon”
Forgive my absence for a while. If you stop doing things daily even for few days those skipped days can turn into weeks, months, years. Things that shouldn’t have but did fell by the wayside recently.
The past few months have felt like a million things around the house have needed fixing or replacing. There’s been vets and physio/chiropractor visits, Continue reading “Suffolk, UK Travels”
So much and so little has happened since my last post. Summer’s just over a week away and the weather just beginning to get hotter. My winter, early spring clothes are all tidied away until October, my summer wardrobe moved for forward. I twisted my ankle running Disafío de Guerreros obstacle race and have a Spartan Super coming up in Andorra in the next few weeks.
My ankle’s almost healed, about 90-95% capacity. I somehow moved one foot bone out of position which the physio/osteopath put back in place. Lunges are still an issue, Continue reading “A Little Photo Catch Up”
Spring’s here early and I’ve caught the cliche Spring Cleaning. Maybe it’s the change of light that’s making a few things look tired and faded or the light’s making things look different and in need of change. Whichever one, I’ve been switching and moving things around in the apartment, having a mini KonMari Method clean out and feeling change of happier energy in general. Cliche I know! Spring’s always a wake up season after a season of hibernating so maybe I’ve caught that energy and have a whole host of ideas I want to get moving.
Living in a city you don’t notice seasonal changes as much. Grey becomes a different tone of lifeless grey. Continue reading “Early Spring Sunshine”
I love wearing make up. I love it’s playfulness, it’s transformation, the high and it’s power. Mascara opens up your eyes wide, turns lashes longer and more voluminous. I love how shadow can bring out the different colours in your eyes and how a pop of colour on you lips can give you confidence and a little swagger. There’s a reason why make up artists are called artists.
Got a hair cut! No filter, no touch up, just scars and lines.
This year I’ve found myself wanting to wear less makeup. At the moment it’s for vanity which is ironic as makeup if we admit is all about vanity. In the summer I stopped Continue reading “The Power of Makeup and Why I’m Wearing Less Makeup”
