Happy Summer!
Sneaking off to beach for a dip to cool off and sunbathe’s now a daily thing. Being warm without being wrapped up in layers makes me smile. Feeling the warm sunshine on my skin makes me happy. My favourite season’s here, Summer!

This past weekend I completed my 3rd Spartan Race! The Super a 13-15km obstacle race, which once again left me contemplating if to run the Beast, Spartan’s 1/2 marathon again.

I’m hoping the sun says hello muy pronto. I haven’t seen it since last Sunday and a week of grey skies leaves you feeling somewhat blah. That’s one reason why I stopped wearing grey. It’s a colour that just makes me feel uninspired, unmotivated and nah. Everything grey that is apart from grey cats, dogs or any other grey animals, just saying.

There wasn’t as much mud as last year, but there was still plenty of mud to be had. Spectators must think us Spartans are mad. We willing wade, crawl, slip, fall, roll in mud.

I knew it was going to happen. It’s been in the back of my mind ever since a few other apartments in the building boilers blew. I don’t have much luck with boilers. I think it’s because water likes to play and if you know the 5 element signs, metal holds water. I’m metal. In the movie Memories of Geisha, in the opening scene, Nitta’s recalls her mum describing her and her sister, saying she, Nitta was like water; Water can carve its way even through stone. And when trapped, water makes a new path.
