Good Friday we made it out the city or rather I made it out the city for the first time in ages! P travels a lot, I don’t as the cats are on multi medicine a day. It’s easier and cheaper for me to be the main long term cat carer. I’m okay with it and happy with day trips.
Late last Spring we found nestled along the Costa Brava coast line to Jardi Botanic Marimurtra or Marimurtra botanical gardens. We liked it so much it’s always on the go to list.

Nestled along the rocky Costa Brava coastline is the spellbinding Marmurtra Jardi Botanic. A botanical garden that has you feeling like you’re in the royal gardens of King’s Landing or ancient Greece with it’s Linnaeus Pavilion.

This weekend made me realise just how much I love/need the sea, colour and nature. I might live in a city, however I’m lucky enough to live in a more open part of it, see the sea, greenery and of course I’m a 25 minutes fast cycle (21 min sprint) to the zoo, my own tropical garden during late summer afternoons when everybody’s at the beach. My Mum always says you can take the girl out the country but you can’t take the country out the girl.
