I can’t believe how quickly this year’s going. A quarter of the year’s done as April says hi. With that I hope you’re having or had a great weekend!
This week’s been a little crazy as I’ve lost my voice to squeaky whisper. I’ve no idea if that’s what it actually sounds like, but that’s what it sounds like in my head making me crack up every time I do talk. It’s thanks to allergies making me cough my throat’s so sore, hence no voice. I finally have allergy medicine that’s taken the edge off so I can breath better. It’s kinda funny hearing me squeak to a whisper! That’s until I start coughing, then I’m do I laugh or cough? Until it clears up, lots of hot drinks and toast. Toast is nice soothing the throat as much as hot liquids are easing it. But enough of woe me, here’s this week’s Weekend Friday Favourites, things that have made me smile or caught my eye the past 2 weeks.
Cork Yoga Mat
My workout mat needed replacing after a good few years use as it was sliding everywhere when doing any type of jumping. Not to mention from planks and mountain climbers bits of plastic were shedding. I’d been using my yoga mat as a substitute however for some reason I like to have a separate yoga mat and workout out. Wanting to find one that was less plastic and more easily recyclable cork mats Continue reading “Weekend Friday Favourites”
Happy New Year!
Sunset 1st Jan 2019
I hope you had an amazing time celebrating the New Year whether you were sleeping, partying or like me celebrating New Year’s Day soaking up the sun at the beach!
Like Christmas, ringing in the New Year was low key. Thanks to TVE1 en directo on my phone, the cats and I rang in the New Year watching the ball drop in Puerta de Sol Madrid snugged up warm. I just just managed to eat all 12 grapes in before the 12 campanadas finished. Just. Does having 1 or 2 left mid chew as you try to avoid choking on grape juice count?
I’m more New Year’s day than New Year’s Eve. I like to see the sunrise rise Continue reading “Intentions 2019”
Forgive my absence for a while. If you stop doing things daily even for few days those skipped days can turn into weeks, months, years. Things that shouldn’t have but did fell by the wayside recently.
The past few months have felt like a million things around the house have needed fixing or replacing. There’s been vets and physio/chiropractor visits, Continue reading “Suffolk, UK Travels”
Back in July which seems like a lifetime ago, we bundled the cats up in the car and headed down south to the Costa Blanca for a week. Everything was last minute. The only plans made were to be outside as much as possible soaking up the warm sunshine and warm sea.
While Googling Imaging Spanish coasts verses where still have rooms available, Calpe kept coming up. Located just under a cap (Cape Nao) I was yes!, I bet it’s full of coves to explore. By boat only. We, okay I, didn’t always get up and running in time to explore by boat .Where we were staying Continue reading “Cala Granadella. Summer Holiday Vacay 2018”
Back in June we ran, okay walked our first and maybe last Spartan Mountain Series Race, the Spartan Super in Andorra. For the record I’ll run more Spartan Supers, but at sea level or low/foothill mountain range like where the Barcelona Spartans are held. The Andorra terrain and altitude got me! Thanks to them this Super took me nearly as long as the Beast a few years. I’m a sea level girl for sure!
Post race day we took our time heading back to the city. We asked for a later check out as we knew we’d be tired and we wanted to explore bit more of Andorra. The view Continue reading “Mid June In Andorra”
