Beauty Finds: Briogeo Be Kind Be Gentle™ Matcha + Apple Replenishing Superfood Shampoo And Briogeo Be Kind Be Gentle™ Matcha + Apple Replenishing Superfood Conditioner Review

Beauty and Skin Care, Lifestyle

Welcome to Beauty Finds! This edition features Briogeo Be Kind Be Gentle™ Matcha + Apple Replenishing Superfood Shampoo and Briogeo Be Kind Be Gentle™ Matcha + Apple Replenishing Superfood Conditioner.

What it Does: The green-juice inspired shampoo is packed with matcha and apple to cleanse and help nourish hair without stripping it of moisture. The conditioner is an infusion of kale and apple to nourish and hydrate the scalp and hair. By harnessing the power of fruit and vegetable fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, this regimen will support the vibrancy of hair and is the perfect compliment to your wellness routine.

I first discovered Briogeo back in I think 2019. An Apple News* Buzzfeed article on must have beauty items lead me to Glow Recipe which lead me to Briogeo on Cult Beauty. Sometimes unexpected leads, lead onto good things. Something said just try them. Based on founder Nancy Twines Mum’s kitchen recipes, cruelty free, vegan and 97% naturally derived ingredients, of course I was going to try them. I’d been looking for a good silicone free shampoo and conditioner for a long time. My hair at the time wasn’t doing too good. Greasy everyday, yet dry and no amount of conditioner could make it happy, shiny and soft.

I can’t remember when, maybe be in lockdown I started washing my hair every other day rather than every day. My hair since has been happier that the good oils it produces aren’t be washed out everyday. I’ve tried different shampoos and conditioners both liquid and solid since and I keep coming back to Briogeo Be Kind Be Gentle™ Matcha + Apple Replenishing Superfood Shampoo. My hair is fine, slight wavy, long, shows greasy and any damage easily. Read on for my Beauty Finds requirements or skip a paragraph for the review.

Beauty Finds: Honest Purely Sensitive Shampoo and Body + Wash and Honest Purely Sensitive Conditioner Review

Beauty and Skin Care

Welcome to Beauty Finds! This edition features Honest Purely Sensitive Shampoo + Body Wash and Honest Purely Sensitive Conditioner.

First up, if in Spain don’t purchase either this shampoo or conditioner from Douglas España. Purchase from Niche Beauty and you save €11.90. For some reason Douglas España charges almost triple what other Douglas in Europe charge and even to the price in the USA.

Secondly the labels are in German as Douglas Germany is the mother Douglas for all Douglases within Europe.

Jessica Alba always has beautiful hair and I’m sure uses her own products. While I have a great shampoo, finding a conditioner that works is hard. My hair’s fine, oily at the roots and dry at the ends. It’s way better condition now I use amla oil and powder, wash it every other day however I can just can’t find a good conditioner that hydrates. My skin can be sensitive so I decided to try the fragrance free shampoo and conditioner. I paid Douglas prices so I was expecting lots. Both products are clean ingredient, cruelty free and vegan.

Beauty Finds: Hair Care Bars Part 1

Beauty and Skin Care, Lifestyle, Recycle Less

I’ve been reducing or trying to reduce my plastic waste for the past few years. Somethings are easier than others to replace with non plastic. Hair products aren’t going to to be anytime soon unless part 2 of The Hair Care Bars do a miracle on this girl’s fine wavy stubborn hair.

A friend recommended Lush hair bars. She’s also on a plastic freer journey. I should have taken my own advise from my last trip to Lush. Lush is a I like concept brand, the products just don’t do it for me. My hair however wasn’t fairing well from Freshly Cosmetics duo, it was that time of the month making me feeling a little down with I need a boost (with shopping. I always say shopping is modern day hunting. The thrill of the chase hunting down items adrenalin low key pumping) so I was okay lets try Lush hair bars to see if they’ll revitalise my hair. Something I’m working this year is to listen to my intuition more. So many times I’ve gone against that voice, not listened and I should have. That and not buying unwanted things, saving pennies.

Anyways, my hair time is fine, oily easily damaged. You’d think not colouring it, no heat treatment, eating as healthy as I can, all the hair foods and taking brewers yeast tablets my hair would be in okay condition. Nope. I blame pollution! And the wrong products.

Summer Hair Care

Beauty and Skin Care, Fitness, Lifestyle

If you’re like me, love the beach and sea, lucky to live along the coast, have fine hair and visit the beach almost every day during the summer, your hair might not love the salt water as much as you. Over the course of summer, salt water, sweat, sunscreen, humidity can damage my hair. When it’s fine hair, damage is emphasised 3 fold.

This summer, I think I may have the damage under control. Previous years I left coconut oil in overnight after being in the sea. My hair didn’t respond well. I’ve found after rinsing salt water out in the shower, it needs some sort of moisture locked back in. I’m sure my hairdresser will have their say next time I go in, however I’m finding the following’s working out okay keeping my hair healthy this summer:

The Right Shampoo and Conditioner

More so the right conditioner. For a few years I’ve been using hairdresser recommended conditioner. While it’s natural, cruelty free, this year I decided to look for another. One reason price, the other it contained silicones which aren’t kind with
