I completed my 3rd obstacle race this year back in November! The Maori Race. A 7km, 30 obstacle race in a more urban setting. I ran my first Maori Race back in June. It wasn’t my intention to join a team. I met 2 other girls on the course and we teamed up for the remainder. None of us knew our names until afterwards! It was great working as team. Less burpees and help with the more tricky obstacles. On reflection, I’m not sure if I want to run as a team again. I’m happy to help others along the course and appreciate the help back (especially with those walls!), I just like the challenge it gives me individually.
As with every race you take away what you need to work on. My last one was the walls. I’ve been working on Continue reading “Maori Race Can Zam Santa Coloma”
The season I’ve been waiting for is here! Carefree days of less layers, the early morning buzz of a hot day, hazy afternoons, peaches, for now still longish days, people a little happier and of course beach season!
The heat arrived last week. No warning of a few in-between days, it’s like someone switched up the thermostat. Which was perfect as this past weekend was kinda action packed with an afternoon at PortAventura World Caribe Aquatic Park and Sunday’s Maori Race’s 7km obstacle run through shaded woods. This past weekend I completed my 3rd Spartan Race! The Super a 13-15km obstacle race, which once again left me contemplating if to run the Beast, Spartan’s 1/2 marathon again.
I wasn’t sure if going to run. Spartan Race Espana weren’t putting on buses from Barcelona city centre as they have done in previous years and with no car or knowing Continue reading “Spartan Super Recap And Catch Up”
I hope you’re having a great week! I can’t believe we’re half way through March already and this post was planned for Monday. Whatever. The half way through March and that it’s officially Spring on Monday’s a reminder like this motivation quote that Tone It Up shared on Instagram a few weeks ago: One Day or Day One.
I had plans this past weekend to sort out Continue reading “Transitioning”
The past few weeks, if I’ve missed the zoo where I mostly practice my photography I’ve been making myself take photos regardless. Sometimes it’s using a different lens when another would be better cycling through the park. I have to think more, change position, look for different angles. Sometimes it’s because I’ve really miss taking photos if I haven’t for a few days because life can get same old.
The basic course I did in January helped a great deal though it only touched the photography world. I find myself looking at images thinking Continue reading “Angles”
