Part 4 is the last in the 12 Hours in Madrid Series and perhaps the one I should have stuck with. A selection of photos I was saving especially for this post: street life, architecture and my favourite photos of the day.
I didn’t enjoy the afternoon as much as I did the morning. I could feel a migraine beginning to hit thanks to heavy traffic fumes and what seemed like every 3rd doorway someone was standing outside smoking. I kept my water intake up as much as possible, but it still hit. Walking up and down endless Metro stairs a few hours later felt like my brain was rattling around with a little wave of nausea each time. I’m sure my resting bitch face was in full overdrive. My camera battery had died after Templo de Debod so I wasn’t able to get shots I wanted with my iPhone. A few weeks ago we spent the day in Madrid. My one day holiday vaccay this year. With 2 cats both on medicine twice a day it’s tricky to escape somewhere. While I’m fine with friends looking after them when I’m away, administering medicine, is different. It’s something I’m okay with and have accepted as those 2 mean so much to me.

I hope you had a great week! I’m still catching up from our day trip to Madrid on Wednesday. My one day holiday this year. Both cats are on medicine twice a day and while I’m happy to let people look after them when I’m away, administering medicine’s different. Even more if it’s meant to be given 12 hours apart. So for the foreseeable future no holidays for me. It’s something I’ve accepted and am fine with. I’ll for sure recap Madrid over the next few weeks as I took a ton of photos while we walked a half marathon exploring. My feet were so happy to relax on the train back!
