Back in June we ran, okay walked our first and maybe last Spartan Mountain Series Race, the Spartan Super in Andorra. For the record I’ll run more Spartan Supers, but at sea level or low/foothill mountain range like where the Barcelona Spartans are held. The Andorra terrain and altitude got me! Thanks to them this Super took me nearly as long as the Beast a few years. I’m a sea level girl for sure!
Post race day we took our time heading back to the city. We asked for a later check out as we knew we’d be tired and we wanted to explore bit more of Andorra. The view Continue reading “Mid June In Andorra”
P was here this weekend and I found myself doing something I’ve been trying to hold off. I’m turning into my Mother.
My mother’s a great lady. To say she’s colourful’s an understatement. Always dressed in colour preferably from her autumn winter colours and is hardly every quiet. I’ve noticed there are something subconsciously I think are just family traits I do. I can be a ball of energy like my Mum that some people find uncomfortable. Or I can be the complete opposite and grumpy like my Dad. I’m making efforts not be grumpy. Reflecting on actions and changing them later in similar situations.
I’m mostly mute at home, only speaking to the cats. When P’s here, I’m almost non stop talking to the point I have to tell myself to shut up. That’s only part Continue reading “Like Mother, Like Daughter and Weekend Catch Up”
I can’t believe it’s September already! One minute it was July, August flew by so quick I wasn’t able to catch my breath and now it’s September. I’m not ready for pumpkin spice and layers. I want strawberries, peaches, summer sun and long bright days to stay. I want beach siestas, dips the sea to cool off, feeling warm sunshine on my skin not to stop.
August was injury month. I’ve some how messed up my left psoas, in one of Studio Tone It Up app kickboxing classes. I did kickboxing years ago, so I know to be careful air punching and kicking. A few days day I noticed in lizard pose reaching back Continue reading “Hello September”
Bralettes have always been something of a dream for me. Pretty bras, bras you can walk into any shop find your size instantly and have a wide range of styling options are dreams. If you’re like me, you need an underwire and every bit of support you can get.
Up until a few years ago, I couldn’t get my band size of UK28F. I was lucky to find online a UK30 with limited options in design. I think it was Freya that started band 28’s followed by Panache however again, limited designs, cup types, all with fugly wide straps. I’m not petite height, however I’m a small size. I don’t want wide ugly straps or lace showing through tops! I don’t want either nipples showing through tops. Thankfully Panache started to make t-shirt bras, for DD+ with narrower straps. No nipples showing, no lace showing, no nipple pain in winter when the cold starts. I could also go back to wearing cami/strappy tops, knowing everything’s held in place. The first day of our holidays, second if including travel we stayed local exploring Calpe. The morning started like most the rest of the week, lazy. The place was so quiet and sunny, I wanted to soak it up as much as possible. So after breaky, a Studio Tone It Up workout which also featured daily, earlyish afternoon we headed to into Calpe.
The first stop was one of the beaches, where else? We enjoyed sunny skies for 20mins before storm clouds rolled in. Thankfully it didn’t rain and the water was so warm rain clouds didn’t matter. Neither did the slight air temp drop Continue reading “Summer Holiday Vacay 2018. Calpe”
