Why do I take so many photos of birds? They’re the animal I see the most either at the park or zoo. And they get to fly, run, walk away and/or swim away.
Living in city, birds are an easy connection with nature. They’re generally more tamer, being used to humans and in winter are easy to spot in the bare trees. And they make me laugh and smile. Some ducks and geese are shy prefer to stay away from the rest when I feed them. Other ducks are opportunists dodging the wintering little gulls, other ducks and geese lunging at them for bread. Some geese when seeing another family of geese approaching with swim away before being chased away. Some geese and ducks are loners. Others stick together but will lunge at each other. Geese flinch when the little gulls dive for the bread with their pointy beaks. Some geese hiss and lunge at the gulls and get so into chasing others away they forget about the pan. I swear some geese get to know who gives them food regularly.
