Weekend Friday Favourites

I hope you had a great weekend! Yes, Weekend Friday Favourites on a Monday. I started writing this Sunday afternoon to complete it later Sunday evening. My eyelids were so heavy adding photos, they won, hence it being a Monday Morning Weekend Friday Favourites.

So let’s great straight to it: Weekend Friday Favourites, things that have made me smile or caught my eye this week.

Tone It Up Chia Seed Pick Me Up Pudding

I’m doing the best I can to follow their current Summer Tone Up 4 week nutritional plan. One thing that I think is going to be a staple long after the challenge is their Pick Me Up Chia Seed Pudding. It’s the coconut milk that does it. The chia seeds ensure it’s high in fibre, protein, manganese, provides hydration and all important if you’re a vegan, omega 3’s. It fills me up, picks me up in a oh I feel happy alive way and it’s even replaced my peanut butter sandwich I usually have for M2 or mid morning snack. I swear I’ve had more energy at the gym later on, which I’m putting down the chia seeds and coconut milk. Obvs, it’s topped with way more coconut shreds and raspberries.

Tiniest Balcony Strawberry Patch

I’m hoping for a few strawberries in a week or 2!

Barcelona Zoo’s Aged Primate Home

I’ve always wondered why 2 unrelated monkeys for months have been sharing an enclosure. I thought maybe they’re the last of their groups at the zoo or were the underdogs/lowest ranking and got beaten up too much. I called them the loneliest monkeys there.  A few weeks ago a lemur joined the group making no sense until this information sign appeared. It’s nice to know the zoo looks out of it’s elderly residents. That said I positive the mice and baby chicks on display at the ‘farm’ become snake or lizard food. The flamingo population after the chicks have grown up more or less remains the same and I’d like to know what happens to the baby mouflons once they’re grown up. But then again I might not want to.

Parcel Inspection

Even if I know what’s in the parcels I always get excited receiving them! And if you have cats you know nothing is yours and things have to be inspected on arrival.

That chia seed pudding caught my eye right away! Looks delicious! Good for you for sticking with the TIU meal plan over the summer months–I know that can be tough!

🙂 It’s addictive! The days I don’t have it, my body’s like where is it!
As of the meal plan. I’m adapting it, switching out recipes. I’ve been a member since 2011 so I kinda know how it goes. This time however I thought lets try at least stick to it!
