Weekend Friday Favourites

If anyone braved the now global madness of Black Friday, I hope you’ve recovered. Thanks to amazon.com introducing it to the UK a few years ago, Spain followed last year. Last year I shopped online and popped by my local shopping centre an hour before closing (almost empty) so I’ve no idea if the madness I encountered Friday in the city centre was anything like last year.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I only wanted to look in 2 shops and both were chockablock. One was Sephora with 20% off everything to stock up and I’ve never seen it so busy. Including cutting through 1 shop, I visited 4 and I was done by the 2nd. Pure madness is the only way to describe it.

Anyways, this weeks Weekend Friday Favourites. Things that have been making me smile or caught my eye this week.

While P was waiting for me shopping earlier in the week at La Maquinista, he noticed a FotoNota Instagram photo booth. Basically you find your account or anybody else’s public account and can select and print photos like a polaroid (shaking optional. Bad pun, couldn’t resist). I’m not sure exactly how much they cost each to print. I printed from my account 10 for €5 with the date posted and original caption. I hoping with the ones I did of the cats, create a collage for opposite my desk.img_5613

Thursday’s Workoutimg_5528

I didn’t have time to get to the gym before my dentist appointment so I took my workout to the roof. The chilly autumn afternoon reminded me of autumnal winter afternoons spend outside playing as a kid!

Sunset and Parc de la Ciutadellaimg_5559

After the dentist I cycled though Parc de la Ciutadella. On the way the sunset was pretty and this corner of the park always reminds me of Narnia. It’s the lampposts that do it. They remind me of Lucy finding herself in Narnia for the first time in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, meeting Tumus. Okay there was snow, however in the winter around dusk all the lampposts in the park have a Narnia effect. img_5563

D always finds the warm sunspots. Now the sun doesn’t rise as high it doesn’t hit the floor much, so a cat’s gotta do what a cat’s gotta do to warm up. Perch on the sofa warming up like a meerkat.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Aj’s on new arthritis medicine. Thankfully he likes it’s marmite yeasty taste more than his other medicine. It’ll take a while to kick in but there’s no protest administering it.

Sometimes it’s pretty.

The wind’s been easterly all week so it’s been a little warmer than usual which makes perfect running weather!

I am really envious of those rooftop workouts. I would love to mix up the gym with the rooftop during warmer weather.

🙂 In the snow it won’t be so fun! Do you have any yet? Here’s just got cold, 10-13C. It’s cold if you live here! I don’t think I could do Canadian winters. Way too cold for me!

We had our first little snowfall today. It didn’t last too long though. We had such a mild November and December so far has been pretty good.

Yay to first snow fall and Yay to it not sticking around! I hope the Polar Vortex doesn’t visit you this year 🙂
