I can’t believe the last weekend was the last weekend of August! This summer’s gone way too quickly and I’m a little jealous of those in the Southern Hemisphere. In a few weeks it’s Spring then Summer, while us in the Northern Hemisphere have the cold winter ahead. Sob.
Anyways, I hope you had a great weekend! Apologies for yet again no Weekend Friday Favourites. Sometimes those night naps where I get back and crash, mean I don’t always eat properly which has a knock on spiralling effect. Translate, I don’t have enough energy and I crash again. While I make an effect to have bigger lunches and more snacks in the day, I’m working on breaking the cycle as Weekend Friday Favourites is one of my favourite posts to write. Plus last week, errands seem never ending. Once the playa’s too chilly, I’ll have more time. Not that I laze around on the beach. I’m brushing up and learning Spanish with the DuoLingo App. For the amount of time I’ve been here, my Spanish only knows a few tenses and everything is nearly masculine! It’s easy to use and I’ve already noticed an improvement in my Spanish. And the app’s free!
I’ll leave you with some, okay a few photos of the past few days!
Breakfast with Mr AJ
Mr D and me. My cat ears courtesy of Etude House headband. Perfect for clay masks, sheet mask to keep hair out the way. We’d both just woken up!
Chiringuito beach palms before the zoo and a little shopping in the centre.
I’m concerned that I haven’t done enough training on the distance, but then I’m thinking I walked parts of the Super and that’s 13km. I’m also concerned about the wall climbs. I haven’t been scaling the wall I used to during weekday runs as there’s too many people around. The bar I use to practice muscle ups at the gym, the past few weeks is always taken. I stopped off at the monkey bars coming back and thankfully I can still do low muscles ups (forehead height). I know there’ll be help with the walls on race day, but I’d like to be able to scale some on my own! Looping back I’ve never been so happy for a head wind. Usually I like a tail wind looping back, but this time it was like a personal AC unit.
