Weekly Photo Challenge: Symmetry.

This weeks Weekly Photo Challenge is a welcomed break from all things fitness at the moment. I’m in the process of setting up a Facebook page to generate fitness clients and let’s just say, there’s a reason why I avoid Facebook. I only used to use it in France to arrange coffee and catch up with friends and send the odd Happy Birthday. I don’t like the way they send emails; ‘Natalie, you have X notifications and X messages’. I feel like a kid being told off. The whole ‘like us on Facebook’ thing, what exactly does that do for me? Yep, I’m a bit of a humbug. Aside from blogging, I prefer to Instagram as my go to social media. A photo speaks a thousand words.

There’s a thought I can’t shake off at the moment either. I probably watch and read too much news. I look around the gym, seeing people on their rest time and think people else where are using exactly the same amount of time, to run for cover during a break in fighting or take a break to reload a magazine clip to fight for their freedom. I think I watch too much news.

This weeks photo challenge is Symmetry. As usual how you interpret is up to you. It was very difficult to select this weeks picks as once I started delving into my photo library, there’s symmetry all around us. Humans like symmetry. It’s pleasing to the eye, it gives a sense of order, a sense balance and it can be quite beautiful.

These cheeky guys are the original free runners. I could spend hours watching them play tag!

This was taken on a night bike ride a few weeks ago. I wanted to capture the lights against the darkness. People passing by must have though I was quite mad, inching my bike around until I was central as possible!

I cycle this path most days and have always loved the long avenue of palm trees ahead.

You have to be 7 foot at least to reach this!

As for Facebook, like a rebellious kid, I ignore the notification emails. I even took the app off my phone and iPad as I got fed up of the daily ‘you haven’t checked in’ notifications.
