natjtan Hello! I have a great trick to share with you from Youtube star Michelle Phan. How to fix broken eyeshadows and compacts.
For me it’s not so much smashed, broken powders, but the hard to reach, last of the pressed powder in the corners of compacts. Occasionally I break them down into loose powder, but as you can imagine, it goes everywhere! I know there are a few more applications left and it seems a waste to throw it out. The trick’s really easy. All you need is cleaning alcohol.
Fixing broken eyeshadows and pressed powders
First break down the compact powder to loose powder
Add a few squirts of cleaning alcohol.
Mix until a paste. It doesn’t matter if it’s a little runny as the alcohol will evaporate out.
Leave to dry overnight until all the alcohol has evaporated with powder, eyeshadow, blush restored! Easy!
The end result might not be as the original and a little more powdery/silky, but it works just as fine!
Cleaning alcohol is also great for removing make up from clothes! Especially foundation and powder on duvet/quilted coats and body warmers/gilets around the collar. Gently dab some on with tissue paper or cotton wool to remove. Again leave to allow the alcohol to evaporate, which shouldn’t take a few minutes.

That is an awesome tip. And I had no idea rubbing alcohol can remove stains from clothing. That is something to keep in mind!
Neither did I! I discovered it out of desperation . I didn’t want to wash my coat for some makeup!
