natjtan I have the very sad job of taking down the Christmas Tree this weekend and finding the local Christmas tree recycling point. I always feel slightly guilty I took in a perfectly healthy tree and a few weeks later leave to it to it’s festive fate. Maybe the council replants them! Maybe they mash them up into pine pulp.
Anyways, first Friday Favourites of 2015 and Fridays run view! I think the beach tractor driver had fun getting his sand pit zen on. 45 minute run in the sun, wind, warm and cold.
Koala Mittens
Apart from being probably the cutest thing you’ll ever see, they’re vital in helping koalas recover from bush fire burns. Australia has been hit hard with bush fires this summer/winter with koalas getting caught up in the worst of it. The IFAW launched an appeal for the public to make cotton mittens that help reduce the risk of infection from burns on their paws (koalas have no immune system). The appeal has been so successful that they have enough mittens to see them through the dry season.
Gorjana Complementary Re-Plating Service
I’m so happy to find out Gorjana offer a complimentary gold re plating service. I have a few their bangles I’ve worn so much, the gold’s rubbed off. I’ve tried for a while to find some where that can re plate them with no luck. Oh a whim I emailed them asking if they knew anywhere that did and was happily surprised they do!
Wunder Unders
Last year I purchased 2 pairs of Lululemon Wunder Unders. A cropped pair for training and a long length pair that I confess haven’t seen the gym. Instead they’re my alternative to black skinny jeans. I’ve hardly taken them off the past few weeks as the weather here’s crazy. About 0-1 C in the mornings, 14-17C in the afternoon and nighttime drops to 1C. They’re perfect for running errands, shopping, cycling to the shops, hiking and the temperature variations. Worth every penny!
Kai
The dog abandoned at Ayr train station, Scotland with a case containing his pillow, bowls, a toy and food. A sad tale and very Paddington Bear. Happy news, people from all over the world have offered to adopt him, so he should have no trouble finding new owners. Full story here.

Just because. They spend their days sunbathing in the morning sun and seeking out any other possible heat source the rest of the time.

Thank you! I cycle it most days and don’t get bored of the city beach views, but when I run the other way up the coast on my longer runs I do. Even thought it’s just once a week!
As for Mr AJ, he’s lapping up the morning sun at the moment!
