Santa’s Elf

Papa Noel has it all figured out. Hire Elves. Let them do the planning, crafting (buying), wrapping, labelling, destination organisation, load the sleigh, harness the reindeer, so all he as to do is don his red suit, fly, eat minces and hand out presents. Lucky b*gger.

Apart from a few friends presents, I somehow pulled off the great feat of all the Christmas present shopping and wrapping done this weekend and in the post today. Some elf help wrapping would have been nice. Nearly 3 hours and two BBC Sherlock Holmes episodes it took me to wrap, decorate and label this years presents, only for them to be ripped open in 5 seconds flat! Attention’s in the detail. I appreciate a nicely wrapped gift, so maybe one member of my family will notice! Even if they don’t, I’ll know they’ll look nice under the tree. I incidently wrapping discovered a new yoga mat use. The floor’s the only place with enough space for me to spread out and get down to wrapping but it isn’t the softest of places to sit (well, it’s wooden floor). I was quite impressed with myself. Only one pen mark.

Anyways, I hope you had a great weekend! Apart from present hunting and wrapping, mine was the usual. Gym Saturday, run Sunday, snuggle with the cats, too much time on the internet and not what I should be doing. I did start sorting out the place a bit, come up with a business name and take a trip to a different part of the city centre, because even though the most shops are the same and I ended up back in the usual area I shop, you know it’s somewhere different.

Sunday’s 14km run turnaround point back to Barcelona. It was a hard run, arch issues, several to do lists playing on my mind and I miss trails. As much as this route is pretty, I do miss running and biking trails!
