Friday Saturday Faves

Happy Friday Saturday!

Yep! Another Friday Faves on Saturday! I did the classic, ‘I’m just going to have a 20 minute nap’ when I got back last night and woke up at 6am. The whole house did. It’s been a long week that’s whizzed by. I’ve felt all week that I’ve been treading water while others have zipped ahead. Maybe I should take a lesson from swans. Glide along effortlessly, but no one sees how crazy you’re paddling underneath!

But first, Friday’s run view! 7.5km along the beaches and two rounds for the monster Spanish steps. Yesterday was the first time in a long time, I didn’t want to stop running. It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes I don’t want to stop. I feel like I could run all day!IMG_7966

Anyways, this week’s Friday Faves;

Taylor Swift on The Graham Norton Show

Graham Norton has to be one of my all time favourite TV hosts, along with Jonathon Ross and Jimmy Fallon. Taylor was fantastic taking on fellow guest John Cleese and the suggestion she stalks her fans. And her dress, love it!

The best way to describe this shop is like a Danish Bazaar. Nothing costs more than €5 with €1 the average price. However it’s not your average €1 shop due to the quality. It’s great for gifts, stationery, craft ideas, kitchen and bathroom utensils. It’s impossible to leave empty handed!

Semi precious stone braceletsIMG_0910

One thing I’m coveting at the moment is Tiny Devotions Exhale mala. For now I can’t justify the price tag, neither can I their stack bracelets. I discovered in El Borne’s crystal shop this week, a vast range of semi precious stone bracelets of different sized beads for a fraction of Tiny Devotion prices. I choose the smaller beads as I prefer them to the larger Tiny Devotions stack size in amazonite and adventurine. I can’t remember the name of the white stone.

Cruelty Free Cosmetics in India

Earlier this year India announced it was banning all cosmetic animal testing on it’s own brands. This week they announced they are banning the import of cosmetics tested on animals. This is great news and I hope more countries follow suit soon. You can read the full story here.

The vet thinks his eye trouble might be a side effect of his tummy problems. He’s now on eye drops, a protein supplement and cat probiotics. Both him and the litter box are feeling better. IMG_7842

We promised D we’d get him a cat tree when we had enough space as he likes high places. He preferred the box in came in. Go figure.

What’s been making you smile this week? Do sometimes feel like you could run, do yoga, cycle all day? Have a great weekend! Mine’s full of studying and coursework. I think by the amount of times it’s been repeated I’m understanding gym customer care!

    I love those bursts of energy. Last week I was on the treadmill, and said I’d only do 30 minutes. At the 30 minute mark I was feeling like I could go for another hour. Hope your kitty gets well soon.

      I’m convinced wearing bright pink brings on those energy bursts!
