New Beginnings

The next few weeks will be interesting. All my secrets will be exposed. Well some. Paul left his current job of 3 1/2 years on board the Kahalani (9 in total working on yachts) today and he’s taking time off for a few weeks or more. Oh crap! All my quirks will be revealed! *evil laugh*. *Sigh* he knows them anyway! B*gger!

It was an easy yet hard decision to make. Easy, he wants a fresh challenge and motivation. Hard, it’s good pay and he got the winter off (just cooked for crew). He needs to recharge, blah, blah, blah, before taking the next step. We’d love to take a proper holiday. We haven’t had one in about 4 years, though Mr AJ with his multiple daily eye drops for the foreseeable future has put that on hold, again!

For now we’ll summer in France until a position comes up that’s works out best for both of us and take it from there. Neither of us want to move back the UK so will have to endure yachting and France a little while longer. I’ve said I’d prefer not to spend another summer here. Despite the sun, the past 2 have been long and lonely while he’s been away. After 9 summers apart, maybe just maybe this one we’ll see some summer sun together! I’d love to move back to Barcelona for the summer, however that’s not feasible right now, so will have to suck it here some more. It’s not the worst place to be, I have to remind myself.

Not all those who wander are lost. Right now, I need direction to wander. While he’s around and has a clever way of seeing things, I’m putting him to use helping me find my path. I’ve been a bit all over the place for a while and need a new way of how to be. Two heads are better than one, right? Dreams are dreamt for making things happen. Making them happen is much more difficult!

Wish me luck these next few weeks! I’m sure I’ll rediscover some quirks of his that just make me really, really wanna…………………….! (Love ya!)
